2009 and the age of 29
yO.
Long time.
Whassup?
Since like 2005 I've been moving. Constantly. Every year. One house to another, one basement to another, apartments, condos...
Packing, unpacking, cleaning and putting my do whatever i want, whenever i want in my pajamas at 3 in the morning on hold.
In a few days this will end. In a few days, I.WILL.OWN.A.HOUSE.
Well technically, a townhouse. And technically 50% of it. But still..
Shit do you know what this means?
This means, one year from now i do not have to pack all my things up again and find a new place to live. It also means two years from now i don't have to pack up all my things and find a new place to live. 3 years? uhh.. it's hard to commit for that long. Plus, do you know what type of house i could get for the amount of money i'm spending down south? Shiet...
Guys,
I'm growing up!

J0ck the Vote '08
My dad is so cute. The other day he calls me and says, "HANH! WHO DO YOU WANT TO VOTE FOR?"
me: "HUH!?"
"WHO DO YOU WANT TO VOTE FOR?"
"Who do I want to vote for or who do i want YOU to vote for?"
"Uhhhh WHO DO YOU WANT ME TO VOTE FOR??"
"Obama"
"OKAY, BYE"
that wasn't the end of our phone conversation but it was the whole reason for the call.
I did have to type what he was saying in all caps because he doesn't talk, he YELLS, and he yells because he's Asian. heh.
I heart my parents
**EDIT**
He voted for McCain anyway. lolol

News Update
On Current Events:
Last weekend was Meg's wedding. It was one of the best weddings I've ever attended. It was also the first wedding of a close friend I attended. The people were great, the food was good and the bride & groom were happy. I also had the chance to embarrass myself on purpose. I'm not one to try to catch the bouquet, first off- I'm athletically challenged- so trying to catch anything is pretty hard for me. Secondly, flying projectiles towards my face? No way. Well since I was a bridesmaid at the wedding and a very very very good friend i felt it was my duty to stick with this tradition and try to catch the thing. Of course the only people out on the floor was me, two toddlers and two older girls who really didn't want to have anything to do with it. I faked pushed the two little girls out of the way and caught the bouquet. THERE WAS NO WAY THEY WERE GETTING MARRIED BEFORE ME!!! Just kidding... Meghan aimed the thing right at me. They had no chance anyway...lol. EMBARRASSING!
One more wedding to go this year!!
On Politics:
I usually don't talk politics because I don't know much about it. All I know is that I share the same beliefs as a Democrat and even though I'm uncertain about the whole Obama thing, I'm pretty certain that Palin is a loser and that there is no way in hell I would ever vote for McCain. He's going to croak 3 days into office (if elected) and this dumb bitch who governs over about 7 thousand people will be the President of the United States? No fucking way people... The media need to get over it, they think that people are tripping up over her but NO ONE is but the people in the news. All I know is that if Palin was a man with a 17 year old preggo daughter, people wouldn't feel so sorry for the family. Also, isn't the daughter's bf 18? No one is making a big deal out of her being under age? hm... BS as usual.
On Health:
Remember how I was doing all this crap to stay healthy and stuff? Like doing tai chi and cutting coke and coffee out of my life and drinking disgusting water all the freaking time? Well I pretty much stopped doing tai chi once i turned 27/28. Well between last week until now, i somehow managed to lose 5 lbs. 5 freaking lbs! do you know how hard it is for me to lose 5lbs when i'm working out and eating healthy?! i don't, i gain... yea yea, muscle weights more, whatev. Anyway, i feel freaking anorexic... but i know once i do i start over eating and suddenly i'm 10lbs over weight... there is totally no happy medium for me.
I did finally get my wii fit though. Although it weighs me wrong... hopefully it'll help me tone up!
On Sports:
The Patriots is more than Tom Brady people!!
GO PATS!!

Day 7 of
Man i did NOT want to go to work today... like all Mondays... stupid Mondays.
Breakfast: Earl Gray Tea
Yogurt
Lunch: Lean Cuisine
Prunes
Dinner: gross ass chinese buffet.... yuck. my stomach hurts just thinking about it... at least.. i THINK that's why it hurts. =(
Tai Chi: Did additional 10 reps in the beginning exercises... and stayed longer in the yoga poses... damn it was hot... i gotta remember to change into a tank top the next time i do this.
---
So it's been "7" days into my workout plan... what are the results like so far?
I really do feel like i "workout" when i do tai chi... although i know i'm not burning as much calories as running, i'm still burning SOME, which is better than NONE. I also think it's helping out with my flexibility and i feel that it is toning up some leg and arm muscles. There's also some good back stretches involved which feel great after sitting in an office chair for 9 hours!
Weight loss = None. I weigh exactly the same as when i first started.
Damn, maybe i should have taken a before and after picture?

next week: it might all go down hill

Purple Sunrise
I didn't do tai chi today. I have no excuse... i was just really lazy. My body sorta ached (I think from Golf)... i pretty much laid in bed all day and ate crap.
Anyway, I decided to take a nice hot bubble bath tonight to sooth my aching my body. I feel silky smooth and squeaky clean.
During the bath I just tried to relax and even tried to take a nap, lol, anyway, that didn't work out...
So here I am to blog about one of my main interests which I think I need to blog about more before I forget my thoughts and what I think I like when the time comes.
I'm talking about my love of weddings... that's right, my love of pretty paper bleeds into weddings. I think where paper is the most prettiest is when it is used as a wedding invitation. Now I'm not one of those wedding craze people... I'm not one of those girls who planned my wedding out since i was 3, i never pretended i was a bride... in fact, i actually didn't think weddings were all that until i found weddingbee. All the weddings I've attended before wedding bee was just like a huge party. I come from a small town, and everyone, i mean EVERYONE had their wedding at the same freaking Chinese restaurant. The restaurant was never decorated. The invitations were ALWAYS the same... and random people always showed up. I'm not looking down at weddings there or anything, it was just.. always the same.
I don't remember how the heck i found weddingbee... i've always been into blogs, so i'm sure it was from some blog i read from xanga. FYI - the creator of weddingbee is married to one of the creators of xanga. I actually think she started off on xanga and then went off onto her own... ahh.. xanga, the memories.
Anyway, once i read weddingbee, i was hooked. Not by the actual posts itself (some of them get really long and boring, i find parenting blogs more funny) but the pictures, the ideas, the DIY.. they captured my interest, my awe... it was then when i started appreciating weddings more. All the work put into it.. the little details that most people don't notice.. the freaking money and time and sweat and tears and i think most importantly, the fact that two people are getting married and sharing their vows of love and commitment to one another in front of people they love... or hopefully like. (I know Asian parents have the reputation of inviting random "relatives" to their kids' weddings... i have already told my parents (about 5 years ago, even before i loved weddings) that i will NOT be inviting these "relatives" that i do not even like to my wedding. and i will NOT be pushed around! As for the groom's side... ehh.. i dunno if i'll have much power on that end...
Ehh.. where was i? Oh... so even though I started being infatuated with the wedding business, I still haven't really thought of my own. Pretty weird no? There's just so much you can do, I can't even begin to choose... I remember there was one time I just wanted to pick out my wedding colors and I couldn't do that. I mean, usually you have to take the season into consideration, day or night wedding, blah blah blah... there's A LOT involved. Wedding dress? I have no idea what style I would want or even what style i don't want. Place for wedding? psh... invites? HAH!
That's right, I'm one indecisive person... until now. I think I've come to a conclusion on my wedding colors.
I have always loved driving home at 4-5 in the morning when I lived at my parents. For one thing, there's a lake that I have to drive by to get there. When the sun is about to rise, the scene is just so calming... and the thought of a new day... from a night of having fun with some friends and being able to go home to your family... its just so.. uplifting? relaxing? The scene to me was like a breath of fresh air... a breath of life.
Then i saw that a weddingbee blogger was going to have pinks and grays for her wedding... it was such a romantic color... how about my favorite color purple and grays? like the sky in the morning pre-sun... or even sometimes the color of the sky when it's just stopped raining.
I couldn't find pictures to inspire me... so i kind of gave up on the colors.
Then i saw my color scheme in the mall. in the window of Banana Republic... the purple, the grays.. it was perfect.. i fell in love with it again... i think I really want to use it...I hope I don't change my mind again.
...OH. I've also realized I don't want flowers as centerpieces.
heh.

now dip baby dip.
Okay, i totally did not blog friday for one reason and one reason only: There was some major accident on the parkway so the road got closed and i had to take a detour to get home, except i didn't know how to get home because Virginia roads suck and i didn't have gps because i don't drive the lexus anymore because my stupid job has me occasionally driving between corporate and the customer locations which racks up the mileage on the car which i normally wouldn't care about but the lexus is a stupid lease so we only get to drive it for a certain amount of miles before we have to pay a buttload of money for every mile after that and in conclusion I didn't get home until an hour and a half later.
So i was totally bitchy when i got home.
Anyway, along with not blogging Friday, I also failed to do tai chi... but fear not! I did do tai chi saturday morning and did more reps to make up for it.
Friday:
Breakfast: Earl Gray Tea
Yogurt
Lunch: lean cuisine.
Dinner: Sushi.. yuMmmMmmmmmmmmmmm. House salad w/ ginger dressing, miso soup, tempura appetizer, sashimi dinner plate (the fish cuts were FAT and was served on a "plate" of ice... deelish!) and a maki roll (4 fishes topped off with masago and spicy mayo sauce). damn i ate a lot.
Saturday:
Breakfast: none. are you kidding me? i'm lucky if i get out of bed before 12pm.
Lunch: Vietnamese food. Spring roll, egg roll, Rice with grilled (uh... maybe really just pan fried) pork with a sunny side up egg & fish sauce.
Dinner: Vietnamese sandwich
....i'm kinda hungry right now but it's 230 in the morning so i don't think eating again will be a good idea.

I'm going to get a maid! I knew I made more money for a reason.

yogurt
Dinner: Indian Food. Chicken Vindaloo, i asked for spicy, it was not spicy. The restaurant took me back to the 90s, they were playing everything from the 90s! pretty cool.
i need a drink...
did tai chi, i think i'm becoming more flexible already? not sure. my legs don't hurt anymore. =]

Breakfast: Chai Tea... damn that chai smell is overwhelmingly sweet but yet it didn't taste sweet. I don't think I like it.
Yogurt.
Lunch: 1/2 of the gross ass frozen food. Thank gawd I'm out of that brand, I can go shopping during lunch tomorrow and stock up with real frozen food, lean cuisine! Seriously, i had like 2 thin slices of chicken and threw it out... so i had like 10 prunes to make up for it...
only 2 cups of water.
Dinner: Open Face Brisket sandwich with mash potatoes and green beans... it was eeehhhh. The BF liked it, me, notsomuch. blah lemonade.
Sunflower seeds (i'm out... OMG can i eat sunflower seeds when i get braces???)
some sort of asian candy.... spicy and sweet, whatever it is.
Tai Chi!! felt less tired doing it today, legs still ache.
I feel like i need to poop again?
I started thinking about coke again. =(

New Goal?
Life gets boring without goals doesn't it? Especially when you only have looooooonggggterrrmmm goals that will take months and months to accomplish. So anyway, something has come up where i can "work towards" something again. I think I have about 3 - 4 weeks. My goals is: I have to tone up. BUT I'm doing it a different way. I'm freaking lazy, I hate going out of my way to do stuff.. especially when the outcome is a sweaty hot about to die please give me ice cold water now i cannot walk up these stairs to get to my house and pass out hanh. Nope. Hate it. Therefore I've decided I am strictly going to do Tai Chi and Tai Chi only for 3 straight weeks x 7 days equals 21 days. 21 days isn't too long... I'm not sure if it'll help. But we'll see.
I'm also going to be taking notes of what i eat every day to keep track of my eating habits. It'll make me more aware of the bad things i eat and probably the fact that i need to eat more often. and by taking notes i mean blogging.
I don't know if you remember or not but i blogged awhile back about my parents starting a tai chi cult. Well guess who joined that cult? Okay i'm one of those i'll join you ever other month members, but whatevs. Everytime I do tai chi, i feel better. I feel less tense, my back feels better, there's no straining involved, and i actually sweat (but all in the own comfort of my own living room). The tai chi I do is nothing like the american videos they sell. It is weird arm and body movements but totally not like the slow kung fu moves you see on t.v. or youtube.
I kind of want to do ONLY tai chi and eat whatever the hell i want... in moderation of course, but i think because of the short period of time i have and me already being a chubbub because of the lack of self control in drinking coke and eating bad things in the past month i have to cut out the bad stuff. ::sniff sniff:: BUT once August is over and done with i hope to continue the tai chi and eat whatever the heck i want! i have to continue the tai chi because once winter comes my stomach, cheeks, legs naturally expand due to the cold weather. and being the age that i am, it's getting harder and harder to lose weight. Thanks to my friend Dee, I've seen pictures of myself from H.S. when i was GROSSLY PLUMP GAGGGGGGGGGGGGGggggggggg... i never want to be that way again. even when i'm preggos.
So two main reasons why I'm trying to tone up:
I'm going to do a photo shoot. Yes. A photo shoot. Me, a 26 thousand dollar camera and a red wig. that's all i know for now. and yes, i'm actually practicing my poses. laffs.
I'm a bridesmaid... i had my size zero dress taken in so my dress doesn't fall down and expose my boobies. Anyway, that also means that if i gain any weight i won't even be able to zip up that dress. so i absolutely can not gain any weight.
So that's it... now that i've blogged it i hope i can continue doing what i say i'm going to do! although usually when i blog about something some magical outside forces make me stop doing the certain activity... i.e. when i blog about blogging. heh.
DAY 1!!!!!!!!!
So.. i DID do tai chi today. and today i ate:
Breakfast: ice coffee from dunkn donuts. well, it was more like ice sugar and cream.. yuck... but good at the same time... yet so bad for me
Lunch: not until 3 freaking p.m. I sat in a 3 hour meeting from 11-2.. O.o i'm surprised I didn't pass out. anyway, i had 2 cups of water, lean cuisine... shrimp linguine which was yuck, a yogurt and some gummy bears.
Dinner: salad with ginger dressing. Sushi. I'm actually full? or i'm bloated or something... anyway i feel like i need to poop. so maybe that's a good thing?
okay gonna go poop. gnight!

meey-ow.
I had some blood lost doing this one.
You know how i love crazy cute cartoony things. Of course I would incorporate it into my cards:
I'm thinking i might send this one to my sister instead since she was born in the year of the cat. At least.. i think it's a cat. Except i messed up on the fold and it doesn't close properly so i have to figure out how i could seal it without really sealing it first.
Anyway, i freaking cut myself with the paper trimmer thing. my thumb was throbbing so i wasn't too happy finishing up this one... although i do adore the colors, which by the way the bf picked out. why can't i match crap together? must be the fobbiness in me.

A cookie.
Time flies when you're just sitting on your ass watching t.v. and surfing the internets.
So i went home recently and had the duty of picking up my niece. I don't know how or why when i go home for vacation i end up running errands but it's okay, it was nice driving around a city knowing there will be no way in hell i would get lost or be pulled over or end up in a bad neighborhood and get shot at.
Well so i picked up my niece who is now practically 13 years old... okay only 8 years old, but geezus can't these kids slow down with the growing thing? so she runs up into my car and says "hiiiiii aunt 4 i bought you a cookie from the bake sale today!!"
My heart melted... it was so sweet of her! She actually wrapped it up in a napkin and put my name on it as well. Yeah the cookie sucked ass but still, i ate it, the first cookie my niece ever bought me in my entire life. oh oh oh, actually the first thing ever that she's bought me. soon she'll be driving my old ass around and taking ME out to eat dinner! woohooo. growing old has some benefits... maybe.

Quasi access.
My favorite word now is quasi.
But I never really get to use it. How about, sometimes my new job is quasi to slow ice cream death on a hot summer day in a cold office? OR this co-w here is quasi to a 3 year old with no discipline and control on the whine level? does that make any sense?
I get to blog at work now (for now) so i'm going to do it dammit!
First things first, as you can tell - the start of my new job is eeehhhhhhhh... i get headaches from doing nothing for 4 hours and then headaches from staring at pivot tables the next 4 hours. i love me some pivot tables... as my old co-w would say. speaking of excel. Why do people format the whole excelsheet font to be dark blue and bold. How does that make anything look better? there should be a class in how to make things look pretty in excel and word. and i shall teach the class and make one MILLION dollars. *pinky up*
I would call the class Excel Sexy 101.
Okay quick 3 things before i go bask in the sunlight:
1. cheer celtics tonight
2. bleeding love by leona lewis - i've been listening to this song for the past 4 hours... don't know why, there's this part where her voice kind of annoys me. but how romantic is the phrase "keep bleeding love" huh? if i was a single teenager i'd fall for the boy who would sing this to me and then allow him to take me to dennys for a date. yes its THAT rrrrooomantic to me. Also. Leona Lewis does not look pretty to me.
3. Rihanna ain't all that.

okay real update
Technically, i could just AIM msg Flushie and tell him all about what's going on since he is the only one who reads my blog... but I GUESS i'll just post for the heck of it.
I recently received an offer for a position at an Alaskan Native company doing Program Control work. It's a smaller company but the pay is AWESOME. Well, okay maybe not awesome, but I'm finally at market value which means i can finally pay off credit card bills for good AND have the possibility of buying a house next year!
Things are moving very well (career wise) for me. Hopefully this move to the company is a good one. I start on the 19th, wish me luck!
Also, i just came back from Atlantis in the Bahamas. Which was my first trip out of North America and i got my first stamp on my passport. Atlantis... was awesome. They have great pools and easy access to the beach, and by easy i mean like i looked out my window and there was the freaking beach!!!
I went on most of the water slides which was scary and fun at the same time. I tanned, i burnt, i went snorkeling which is kind of freaking scary. Jumped waves, ran away from attacking seagulls and enjoyed the ocean view out on a boat. It was SOOOOOOO nice to just lay out in the sun. Although it is so NOT nice that my skin is peeling. Pretty gross actually.
So here is a picture of the view we had from our hotel balcony!

Update
Hi all -
I'm going to be so mad at myself when I think about my late 20s and forget what happened and not have a blog to go back to to read about!!
Some things that are going on -
Going on interviews (again). I think I'm ready to find that one company I can stay with for a long time. And by a long time, i mean more than 3 years.
Working out (again). I'm doing a combo of running my arse off, some weights, and tai chi. I believe in the tai chi!!!
Dieting (again) Cutting coke out of my life. People tempt me with fattening food... but all i gotta say is, dude, if i'm going to put anything bad in my body, only Coke is worth it. Booyah!
Starting a new blog. Don't worry this one is staying, the other one is more topic specific. Please support my blogging habits at www.whtieat.blogspot.com

Vows
I have 3 weddings (so far) to go to this year and am a bridesmaid in one of them. I heart weddings although they are very expensive to not only have but to attend!
Anyway, being a bridesmaid is hard work, mostly because i dont know what i'm suppose to be doing. I'm somehow more of an expert on how to be a bride, thanks to weddingbee.com
Well after months of deliberation, we've finally come to a consensus on the bridesmaid dress!! (and this is only with 2 bridesmaid trying to make a decision, imagine 5??)

So i trust everyone had a good valentine's day? no hearts broken? Good. I went to the dentist, got a filling, went grocery shopping and then got served dinner. Crab cake.... sooo delicious, i never knew it'd be so easy to make crab cake... well what am i saying, i still don't know how to make it, but it looks easy. anyway, it was sooooooo delicious i had the bf make it again a few days later, hahaha, i'm a fat kid trying to get out.
and so work is going pretty well... um... i moved to a new apartment... my karaoke system works now... i got rock band... that's all that's new with me.

::looks around::
Holy crap! Where did the month ago. I enjoyed the month of January. Why? I got to see Micky. 27 years of my life and i finally got to see Micky.
Yes kids, going to Disney Land/World and seeing all the Disney characters is a big deal- not everyone has the privilege and means to go. Some of us played with the floor for means of fun and entertainment. I don't know why I said floor, but i don't really remember playing with anything when i was younger. I just remember books. Anyway, so go thank your parents if they took you to crazy Disney. That's a lot of money for a lot of walking.
If not, wait for your significant other to take you.
Thanks hun (and his family members).

the BF's dad
Loves to bring up the fact that i like listening to sad Vietnamese music even though i don't understand it. I don't know how this came up, but I'm glad he knows because he now loves playing music for me when he gets a chance.
Here he is playing besame mucho... below is a short clip.
Pretty nifty when you can have a bf AND his dad play music for you. =]

Toys for Tots
We grew up poor.
We went from 3 kids living in the suburbs of Wisconsin to 7 kids in the projects of MA.
For some reason - I remember having Christmas trees during the holidays in Wisconsin.
In MA - none. I was never really sad over it. I was pretty oblivious to the fact that people were out shopping for gifts for everyone in their family. That everyone was "suppose to" not only receive a present, but little stocking stuffers and give gifts as well. In the poor-dung days during the Christmas season my mom would sign up for some charity and some random white dude with his kid would come around our house and give us presents for Christmas! I think this only happened two or three times and for the life of me I cannot remember what the toys were... but the important thing was how excited and happy i felt when this random dude would come with toys. Of course back then all I cared was about the toys and not where it came from or why it came, but years later i finally realized and appreciated this whole toys for tots thing.
So kids, yes, Christmas may be all commercialized and what not - but do you know how much happiness a shiny toy can bring to a kid?!
When I grew up and finally started making the mula - i found toys for tots through my work place and donated toys every year.
Well - this year, my company did NOT have a big box for TFT!! I was shocked, i was saddened, i was mad...
Okay so i looked up my company and they DID do TFT but just not at my location. Anyway, i googled all this TFT stuff and all the places that were participating were already finished!
I'm going to call a few places tomorrow that are on the toysfortots.org website and hopefully they are still participating. If not, i'm going to be reaaaaaaal sad this year.
So people please, donate to a organization that participates in spreading some holiday cheer. Look how well i grew up because of it!
.... it's really hard to blog and sc at the same time.

Fa la la la LA la.....
Wow, I miss blogging.
Haven't had the chance to sit alone to type out my thoughts lately. I've actually been busy with after work activities. I've seen a musical, went to the zoo and saw squirrels, had home cooked meals again, been drinking more *yay*, and finally been getting a regular dose of SC.
So - did I ever tell you about the time I got stuck in an elevator for about 2 minutes? I don't know why, but i thought about this event when i was stepping out of the office elevator on my way into work.
So we're at D's apartment downtown right? And i remember someone carrying a laundry basket. And for some reason, the guys think its funny and fun to jump up and down in the elevator as it's going up.
boingy boingy boingy.
The elevator stops.
Ummm...
We pry open the elevator door to find that we're stuck half way between floors.
Laundry basket goes up and out first. Everyone else follows.
We had to take the stairs the rest of the way.
The guys still thought it was funny and fun.
So - will you guys be decking the halls with balls of jolly this year?
la la la la...
edit: wait... balls of jolly?! wtf?!

2 in a row!
Go me!
Don't you hate it when you have to work extra hard before a vacation to take a vacation? Not only that, you know that once you come back you'll have work up the yin yang and probably work all the hours back that you took off. I want to move to Europe where EVERYBODY gets a month off for vacation. Thata be nice.
Anyway- does anyone know of an Asian-genre radio station? It'd be cool if I could drive home and hear random Vietnamese songs. It wouldn't be so bad singing along to Utada Hikaru when you're stuck in traffic. What did you say? Turn on my ipod? Put in a CD? Well, i have this weird thing where i actually like hearing the radio dj talk about nonsense, give me random information about a song/artist and give me the chance to win cool prizes... though i have yet to call a radio station... that's on my to-do-b4-i-die list. I wonder how much it costs to start a radio station? What if it was via internet, would it be cheaper? OOoO if i started my own radio station, i could play APC in between some Faye Wong and Andy Lau- how bad ass would that be? My radio name would be delilahkilledmydream. Too long?
You can call me dkmd for short.

Awesomely bad is a great adjective
I really wish I could blog at work. My mind spews out random thoughts when i'm trying to back information into a fake number that someone wants. I had a .4323 second thought of going back to Xanga because it has yet to be blocked at work, but then I was like nahh... not worth it. I'm not going to go back and forth on blogs depending on my work environment. I'm going to TRY to take some time in between me getting home from work and laying in bed to blog.
So... some random/not so random things going on:
I've picked up this awesomely bad habit where I wear my flip flops from my condo to the car, drive with them on, and switch to my heels once I get to work. I picked it up when I was driving a stick shift doing the whole stop and go thing for an hour for 2 hours a day. Needless to say, my feet were not happy in those heels. Anyway, now that winter is around the corner, my feet aren't happy with the nippy 5 minutes worth of cold it feels as my car is heating up. I need to find an alternative. Sneakers may be too much, i have to wear socks... take the socks off and put on my heels. Closed toe slippers may be too slippery on the bottom.... what else is there?? Hmm...
Speaking of awesomely bad habit, i don't know if this is a habit or a trait, but i am one lazy emmer effer. Sure, there are some instances where I get spurts of energy and i'll just want to clean or i don't mind doing stuff after i eat... but most of the time, damn, i just want to sit around and be amused. And by be amused i mean, where I sit around, not have to do anything and be amused. That's how lazy I am... since no one wants to amuse someone who doesn't talk back, i get bored and agitated real easily. I know, i could play one of the games i have, chat, watch t.v... but me? Lazy. Rather sleep the time away then find something to amuse myself with. It's a vicious depressing psychotic cycle. At least I've realized it. Step 2. Do something about it.
I have learned and followed football more than I ever had in my whole life this season. I know about my hometown team the Patriots, that's fine and dandy- But stuff like #1 losing to #13 in college football, all the big upsets? Colts 5-0? Packers 5-1? Redskins has never beaten the Packers? Patriots kicked the Cowboys' ass and Owens is a big penis? I know players' names now?!? WTF?!! How the hell was I able to retain this knowledge??? Two months ago, i didn't even understand what the heck 1st and 3rd meant.
SERIOUSLY. New hobby besides following football needed.
My BF calls me a fake fanatic. I kind of like it.

Top 10 Reasons Why I Blog
1. Obviously, I'm an expert at talking to myself. I don't think anyone really understands the magnitude of how much I actually talk to myself. There is a slight chance that I'm crazy. Sure, people have thoughts running through their head all the time, I get that. Me? I have full blown conversations with myself. I ask questions, answer them and ask back another question. I tell myself jokes, bad remarks that I giggle to... in my head, yes, i giggle to myself in my head. How the hell is it possible? i don't know... does blogging make me talk to myself less? absolutely not... but it makes my conversations "real" and known... that's what I'd like to think anyway.
2. I love talking about nothing important and hate talking about anything that is. Car accident, car gone and injured body? No details on that. A random one liner email from my dad? Loveee discussing that. Everything is so serious now a days, this blog is not.
3. Blogging takes way less energy than actual "talking". I know, I probably have to go to therapy because I dislike talking. Which would be a complete waste of money because i dislike talking.. do you think there will ever be therapy typing sessions? Actually, I dislike explaining... it's very emotionally draining to explain. That's why on a blog I can say, damn today sucked like a bitch and not have to say why. Sure, I could get asked why, but I don't have to answer.
4. My blog reminds me of myself. Do you ever forget who you are? What your personality is like? I do... i don't know how, but I do. My blog reminds me of who I am. Scattered, nonchalant, witty, and not modest. keke
5. I am in love with my online personality. What? Aren't you?
6. I've been an online addict since I was 14 and a half years old and I don't know how to stop. AOL chat days are gone, AIM chat days are gone; forum chat days are gone.... i have no one else to talk to about random stuff! Except....... for myself.
7. Me. Me. Me.
8. A really good way to try to remember how to spell and write correctly. I am emphasizing on the word try.
9. Pure amusement. I don't do this for anyone else but me. Blogging isn't for me to remember my days by, I rarely discuss what I do on a day to day basis or anything else way too personal in my life... what i write, i find amusing.
10. Someday, I want to be rich off of blogger. Blogger make me rich!
...I'm half kidding, but really, where else can i be like:
"Bill Belichick makes me question my loyalty." Discuss.
and get a 2 page answer from Maz?

Golf
I think I've found my sport.
My mom has always been very protective of me. Being a girl, I "shouldn't run around so much" or "play with balls". You know, typical stuff like that... so... I didn't. Well, not that we had balls to play with anyway... but I just never got into sporty stuff, even in school. I sucked in gym class and assumed I was just naturally nonathletic because I was a small asian girl. Good excuse huh?
4th Grade was when i actually started disliking sports. One day at recess when I was NOT playing any sports... I was just walking actually, i got hit in the face with a football. Yes, it hurt, yes I cried. Yes I now had a fear of any flying balls coming towards me.
So that's why I think Golf is my sport. There's no running involved. No outs, no chasing, no catching, no flying balls towards me, no team to bother with, no coach yelling at you, no ugly uniforms and i heard there could be drinking involved.
So over the weekend i got really into trying to hit that damn golf ball. I've played before, but of course i naturally sucked at it. (Swung and miss and hurt my hand.) Well, with some concentration... I think I'm getting the hang of it.... and i actually like it... I'll also actually be getting my own customized clubs soon to fit my damn height.
But seriously, i never knew how hard it was to pivot your wrist.
Oh yeah, does anyone know where I can get Pochacco or Hello Kitty golf club holder thingies?
Thanks.

The WW of Disney
I'm not much of a t.v. watcher. I saw commercials about High School Musical here and there...but really had no idea what it was all about. Until I went over a friend's house... a friend who has 3 kids and Disney is on almost always.
They did the dance moves to HSM. Cute.
Then Maz (who btw, is wayy older than I am) updates his gchat message to: HSM 2 <3
HSM!? A little old no!?
I believe they target a pre-teen audience. Yes, i'm pretty sure I saw that in the news.
So, finally, I was like whatever- Maz loves corny stuff as well as gangsta stuff... i kind of knew that about him. Shouldn't be a big surprise.
So my boss comes into my office the other day... sits down next to me and says,
"So I saw HSM2 over the weekend......."
Me: "uhhhhhhhhhh......"

On Getting Old(er)
I am feeling my age.
I can't do stupid/spontaneous things where I won't care about the outcome anymore. For example... sky diving... i remember when i was a young one i was all damn i want to do that (once i can afford it) yayyayay jump off a plane yay! Now... i'm like...ehhh no thanks, don't want to risk my life... rather spend the $ on normal things like on food or apparently a 500$ vacuum.
I can't go all out clubbing anymore in fear of someone taking a freaking picture of me and it being posted on myspace. Who started the whole camera in the club phase anyway? Do you know how retarded that is? I mean everyone is dancing and drunk and you all want to get together and pose for a freaking picture. Do you know what a bright ass flash does to a drunk person?! Yeesh...
Plus all the drunk fat people bumping into me...ehh.. no tolerence for that anymore, i just want to hit them. and all the dirty sweaty icky people in the dark....damn how was clubbing ever fun...
Actually, I can't even get drunk anymore. Well... I can, off of one drink. Thanks to no more HH.... thanks to not having friends... I digress.. so yeah, one drink. and it's not even a funny happy drunk, it's like, oh shit i'm tired i need to go home and sleep right now drunk. why!? why?! is it because of my tolerance?! is it because my 27 yr old brain can't handle the dizziness? Forget the meaning of life, what is the meaning of growing older??
Now... since I can't drink and dance for fun... I should be doing older more sophisticated activities right? Sipping latte at a cafe somewhere... playing golf/tennis... uh... um... what other sophisticated activities are there? damn don't tell me having kids is the ultimate sophisticated activity!?
See... so i'm stuck, I don't know what i should be doing for "fun" anymore (besides watch anime, and no, i will never ever grow out of that.)
Advice people... advice.

Summer
It's summer... you're like duh- it's been summer for about 2 months now.
Well to me, it hasn't felt like summer. There are several reasons...
Back in the day when I was living with my parents, they didn't believe in air conditioning. Well, they did, but for like 2 rooms. That's it. The entire house would be hotter than outside, except for the basement, it was a bit cool down there... so I always felt the "heat" of summer when it was summer. I would be sweating my ass off in my own house...eating hot Pho. Damn it's good to be Vietnamese.
We'd have occasional summer cookouts, where my mom would try to grill everything possible, fish, cucumbers, tofu, whatever. It even got the the point where they built a gas stove outside where they can make the hot pho out in the hot weather, heh. I had a decent size backyard... green grass, a garden, some cheapo hammock from Vietnam where I would fall asleep on after work and then wake up with a start from being afraid of being bit by bugs.
Oh my god... i haven't gotten bit by a mosquito yet this summer! DUDE! That has got to be the most bizarre thing for me, i use to get eaten alive during the summer by mosquitoes, now..nothing... i don't know if i'm happy or sad... okay i'm happy, but a weird kind of happy... it means that I haven't hung outside in the evening during summer! the best part of summer for me was when the sun was down, there was a cool breeze going through the hot summer night... and i'd be outside with friends, talking shit about someone, while Linni was inside karaoking... heh, that's summer.
Now, i go from a home that's kept at a 71 degree temperature to an office that's kept at a 50 degree temperature... the only time i feel "heat" is when i leave it at 80 degrees in my car... so i can let the blood in my veins warm up from the 8 hours at work.... sigh... so right now, i'm sitting out on my mini balcony... just me, the spider and it's web, some Sapporo and the nice heat. It actually doesn't feel hot to me... it feels normal. So right now, this to me, is the beginning of my summer... I guess I can put on some karaoke and pretend Linni is singing.
I know, this post makes no sense, even more so than my usual posts.. but that's because the heat's affecting my head. goal!!
